In 1812, the United States went to war with Great Britain over trade and territorial rights. At the same time, Britain was already fighting the Grande Armée of the Emperor of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, on the European continent.
Napoleon chose to mount an invasion of Russia — which proved to be disastrous —in the summer and autumn of the same year. The outcome of these events would shape European and American history for generations to come.
Silver Swan invites you to join us for an evening of music and art commemorating the bicentennial year of these conflicts.
